Chinese Lantern Calligraphy

Chinese calligraphy is based on legendary tales about four to five thousand years old.  It contains rich, thoughtful content and has been admired the attention of the artists worldwide. 
Shu (calligraphy), Hua (painting), Qin (a string musical instrument), and Qi (Chinese chess) are the four basic skills of the Chinese literatures. Chinese calligraphy is one of the Chinese arts. It is an art of very much like painting and turning Chinese characters into expressive images through the paper and a pointed Chinese brush.

A brush, ink, paper and ink stone are the basic tools required. Before you learn Chinese calligraphy, you have to learn about using these tools properly, select them carefully and practice writing stroke by stroke.
Most recently, Chinese calligraphy is considered an elegant art not only in China but also in the surrounding countries like Japan and Korea.
